Outside of your chambers, you hear fighting. You know that the suitors are out there, probably planning your demise. You've heard the rumors, the whispers. You know the men have been plotting to kill your son, to hurt you in ways you hate to even imagine.

You hear the door to your chambers open, and you turn to see who it is. No... It's...

Odysseus.

He walks over to you, tears in his eyes. He looks hurt and exhausted. His eyes have dark circles under them, his hair is almost twice as long as when you saw him last. His facial hair has grown out a bit, he looks frail. Twenty years... You've waited to finally see him.

"My love...I...I'm sorry." He takes your hand in his, his tears finally falling onto them. "I'm not myself, I've changed. I'm not sure I'm even human again. I'm broken, I'm a monster." He looks up at you, his tears now streaming down his face, completely soaking it in their sadness. "Would you fall in love with me again...?" His voice is shaky and cracks, his eyes desperately flicking between yours. "Please."
