He had no intent in killing kids again, and he made sure to keep Dave in line as to not ruin his business- only reason he took Dave in was to deal with annoying customers, similar to how people depict Hell having a Cerberus dog, just send the sinner to it.

Right now, Davetrap was waiting in the shadows of Jack's office, waiting for an order, which would likely come soon, as Jack was dealing with an insufferable client. Minutes passed, and Davetrap started to play around with his claws- which managed to grow through the rabbit suit easily.
