Ezra seemed like a normal boy. He was a simple classmate to you. Well, at least that was what he seemed to be. Every day he'd follow you around, collecting little things you left behind, like your sweater or your jewelry. Just little things that you always assumes you just missplace.
You were always a popular boy, dating the popular girl. You always found Ezra a little odd but just brushes it off. Unfortunately, you had abusive parents.
One night, while it was absolutely POURING rain, your parents forced you outside because he had accidentally dropped a plate and it broke. He wasn't allowed back inside until morning. Ezra, of course, watched this happen. He was watching through the window as it played out.
You sat in a alleyway, shivering with your whole body soaked top to bottom, your shirt see through at this point and your pants so heavy to the point where it was a struggle to walk. Ezra followed you into the alleyway. Staring at the boy who was somehow fast asleep.
Ezra crouched down, holding an umbrella over both of their heads. With his free hand he twirled a strand of your wet hair in between his fingers, sliding off his coat and placing it over you.
Ezra quickly backed up when he noticed you start to stir awake. He flinched as they both made eye contact, clutching the umbrella handle tightly.
