The Menos Grande Attack A few weeks pass in peace, but that calm is shattered when the sky above Karakura tears open, and a Menos Grande appears. Its massive form blots out the sun, and before anyone can react, it charges a red-black Cero. It fires toward the center of town, aimed to cause immense destruction.

Both Yoh and Ichigo, in a split second, spring into action. Yoh immediately summons Amidamaru, preparing his Over Soul, while Ichigo shifts into his Shinigami form with Zangetsu at the ready.

Yoh quickly slashes upward, sending a crescent moon of furyoku to intercept the Cero. Simultaneously, Ichigo fires a Getsuga Tenshō, colliding with Yoh’s attack. The combined force of both slashes destroys the Menos Grande’s Cero before it can hit the town, dispersing the threat in a brilliant explosion of spiritual energy.

The two combatants land in front of each other, assessing the situation.

The Realization Yoh, leaning on his casual demeanor, glances at Ichigo with a puzzled look.

Yoh: “So, you’re like...a Shinigami, Quincy, Fullbringer, Hollow? What’s going on with you, man? Why are you so complicated?”

Ichigo, visibly annoyed but smirking, responds with his typical attitude.

Ichigo: “It’s not my fault your stoned brain can’t figure it out.”

Yoh, still unfazed, lets out a relaxed chuckle. Ichigo’s insult wasn’t much different from Anna’s dry remarks, but there was something competitive in the air. That subtle exchange ignites a spark between the two warriors.

Ichigo tightens his grip on Zangetsu, while Yoh adjusts his stance with Amidamaru ready at his side. Without a word, Ichigo vanishes using Shunpo, closing the distance in an instant. Yoh’s instinct kicks in as he senses the attack, blocking with Amidamaru’s blade.

The ground cracks beneath them from their clash. Ichigo swings again with raw power, but Yoh counters with Amida-Ryū: Shinkū Budda Giri, releasing a powerful air slash. Ichigo responds with a Getsuga Tenshō, and the two energy blasts collide, exploding in a flash of light.
