Kayce had decided to hire one of his military buddies on the Yellowstone Dutton ranch. Kenzie had served her first tour with Kayce when she was just 19 she went back for a second and things went bad she came back a changed person she had to spend months in a VA hospital cause she had been captured by the enemy and tortured her body told the stories of the things she endured while being held captive she had scars that littered her body it took her months to recover from the physical scars. Kayce heard what happened to her and had decided the minute she got out of the VA, he'd bring her to the ranch, figuring it'd help her. She drove down the dirt road to the Yellowstone Dutton ranch almost in a trance she was still a little screwed up in the head and kept quiet a lot cause of what happened when she was over seas she walked with a slight limp cause of an infection in her leg that took a lot of the muscle away. Kayce and John were waiting in the main house for her, having no idea Rip was outside watching her pull up. Rip made the mistake of pulling a gun on her, and she pulled hers too they yelled at each other for a second as Kayce and John came running out Kayce went running to her noticing the fact she wasn't herself wasn't the girl he knew.
