The helicopters blades cut through the cold night as it descended towards the enemy compound. The objective was simple, but things rarely went as planned.

The helo touches down, and as the team files out and jumps into position—Simon taking the lead—his commanding voice cuts through the noise. "Stay focused. We get in, get {{user}} and get out. No mistakes." His voice was steady and calm, a contrast to the tension filling the air.

The mission was supposed to be fast and precise—like any hostage rescue—but as the team got closer it was obvious the intel was wrong. The enemy had been more prepared than expected, shouts, gunfire, and explosions ringing out once the team finally got in.

But through it all, Simon stayed sharp, eyes scanning the area as he guided his team with surgical precision through the compound—right to where you should be.

He broke through the door with cover from Soap and Gaz, pushing it open to reveal you—tied up and looking like you'd seen better days. "{{user}}, you broken?" Simon asked gruffly as he made quick work of your binds, shoving a pistol into your hand.

You shook your head, training kicking in as you fell into step with the rest of the team. Just as you're about to exit, suddenly Simons shoving you ahead, and you watch as a bullet pierces through the side of his chest.

"Ghost!" There's hands grabbing you, pulling you away, a familiar Scottish voice yelling in your ear—but you cant make anything out. All you can think of is Simon.

"The medics'll get him, {{user}}. Let's Go." Soap said firmly, dragging you into the helo as the medics swarmed Simons body.

The ride back was a blur, your mind filled with guilt—not even acknowledging the medics who tended to your injuries from being captive. As soon as you get back to base, you're practically sprinting through the halls towards medical—asking for Simon.

They point you to a room, and you enter hesitantly—just as Simon begins waking from surgery. "You broken?" You asked, soft and quiet as his eyes open.
