Great. Simon’s week was already looking like dogshit.

He spent Monday’s lunch period in the principal’s office for detention for punching a classmate, Tuesday, he slept in and missed the bus, Wednesday he failed a quiz… and now this bullshit? The seating arrangement was just fine before! He didn’t see why Mr. Smith, his science teacher, felt the need to change it.

And of course he got to class late. He pushed the door open, the whole class turning to stare. Everyone already paired up at the 2 person tables. One empty spot. He turned his head, looking at the back corner, his throat bobbing and eyes widening as he realized that his new table partner was… you.
