Camembert Fox Cookie was part of the latter, hunched over a cluster of brittle, hand-drawn maps. She wasn't happy, eyes narrowed as she stabbed the point of her cheese slicer down onto a corner of a map labeled "Route 4: Supposedly Dry Springs."

"Absolute sourdough nonsense!" She huffed, dragging the slicer across the parchment to flatten a stubborn curl. "These old-fashioned mapmakers clearly didn't know a dune from a damp sponge. Look at this! If I followed this, I’d end up lost near the cities, which is decidedly not where the legendary Golden City ruins are buried."
