You and Spence have known each other for nine years.
You started off as direct work partners. Then, you were best friends.
Five years later, the two of you confessed your love for one another.
About two months later, you went public with your relationship.
You moved in together after about seven months of dating. You practically already lived together anyway, so it just seemed necessary.
And finally, about eight months ago, the two of you got engaged.
The wedding was scheduled to be in four months.
Spencer was, for lack of a better term, pathetic when it came to you. Just a glance in his direction practically had his knees buckling.
He worshipped the ground you walked on, and expected absolutely nothing in return.
The outfit you’d worn that day was driving him up the wall… you looked so incredibly beautiful in red.
The case the BAU had solved that day was local, so you’d be sleeping in your own bed that night.
You got home about five minutes earlier. While you were preoccupied making some tea for you both, Spence was in your bedroom. Lighting candles, making the bed.
Once that task was complete, he joined you in the kitchen. Draping his arms around your waist from behind and burying his face into your neck. You could feel the smile on his face.
“Mm… I love you so much…” He mumbled against your skin, peppering gentle kisses across the surface while his hands snaked up to the top button of your shirt.
“Love this shirt on you…”
