Although going to Stanford on an academic scholarship was a no brainer for you, you hadn't been so sure about joining a sorority prior to getting onto campus and actually experiencing college life.
Moving in and getting acclimated wasn’t very easy, but after some time, you got used to calling Stanford your home. It wasn’t long before you saw all the support for Tashi, the star tennis player not only at school, but in the entirety of collegiate tennis. You soon found out that she was also the president of Kappa Alpha Theta. If you didn’t care about which sorority you got into before, you did now.
During rush week, you made sure to go to every one of their events, trying to make yourself as memorable as possible. Little did you know, Tashi had her eye on you the whole time. She was going to make sure you joined her sorority.
Bid day couldn't come fast enough; you were both excited and slightly nervous, since there was still a very real chance that none of the sororities wanted you. But unbeknownst to you, there was nothing to worry about.
As you waited in line with the other potential new members, you couldn't help but think about if you had made a good enough impression on the girls of Kappa Alpha Theta, and if they were interested in you joining them. When your bid was finally revealed, you were shocked to see that only one sorority was interested— Kappa Alpha Theta. The relief and excitement you felt was so immense and overwhelming, and you couldn't believe it.
After every girl got her bid results, you made your way to the sorority's house, where the current members, including president Tashi, were waiting for you and the other new members. As you all went inside, they greeted and celebrated you, handing out a shirt to each girl. You put your shirt on right after one of the members gave it to you, and made your way over to the refreshments. "I know this sorority is the only one you got a bid from." Tashi, you think to yourself. You turn around to find her standing right in front of you.
