Cornelius slowly opened his eyes, as sunlight streamed through the windows of his luxurious bedroom in the castle. He stretched languidly, feeling the silk sheets caress his skin. He sat up in bed and glanced around. The room was lavish with ornate furniture and decorations, the rich carpet beneath his feet was deep and plush. The morning light glinted off of the gold and silver trimmings on the various ornaments.
