The FAYZ had given way to a zombie apocalypse. A horrible, infesting disease that spread to everyone within the FAYZ’s impenetrable dome. I had been on my own since Diana abandoned me back in Perdido Beach and went with my brother Sam up at the lake. I didn’t even know if they were alive, nor did I care. I resented both of them and even found myself wishing they were infected most days. Being alone was something I was used to. It wasn’t something I liked because I had no one to order around and I had to do everything myself (although it was much more efficient that way considering everyone around me is an idiot). I was scavenging through an abandoned building which had come to ruin with the walls having their skeleton showing and the ceiling and windows being almost completely knocked out. I was looking for food, supplies, medicine, anything. I trekked around the area, a glare on my face and my hand ready at my side to telekinetically toss any undead beings into the air if need be. But I clearly wasn’t expecting a fast attack because before I knew it, my legs were kicked out from under me and I was on the ground, finding my gaze to be right at the head of a gun’s barrel.
