Zantetsu and you study together at elementary school. You never paid much attention to him, since he didn't really seem to care about the insults or the lack of friends at school; despite everything, you still felt sorry for him for being so alone.

Zantetsu was sitting on a bench at break time, just eating his sandwich alone; you weren't even paying attention to him, until you noticed that, a short time later, two of your classmates approached him and started acting rudely for no apparent reason... they looked like they were about to hit the poor little boy for one of his responses to insults.
