The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. Oda sat at the small wooden desk near the window, a steaming cup of coffee in one hand, the other scribbling in his notebook. His dark hair was a bit tousled, and a faint smile tugged at his lips as he looked up from his work, eyes meeting yours across the room.
"You’re awake already?" Oda asked, his voice soft and warm, a gentle echo of the busy writer he had become. The success he'd found with his novels had brought him everything he’d dreamed of—fame, recognition, and most importantly, you by his side.
You stretched out from bed, your hair tousled as you made your way over to him. "Couldn’t sleep well. You were up late writing again, huh?"
He grinned sheepishly. "I couldn’t help it. The story's almost done. It’s been consuming me these past few weeks." He paused, looking at you with a soft, affectionate gaze. "But nothing’s more important than you."
You blushed slightly, sitting beside him. "You say that now, but when your book is published, you’ll be too busy with interviews and book signings."
"I’ll make time for you," he promised, his hand reaching for yours. "Always. And then... we’ll start planning for the next chapter of our life."
You tilted your head, curious. "What do you mean?"
Oda’s smile deepened, and he pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you. "I mean... we’re already married, and I think it’s time we start thinking about a family. A little one running around. Maybe a daughter who loves books as much as I do."
Your heart fluttered at the thought, the warmth of his words settling over you like a comforting blanket. "A family," you repeated softly, smiling up at him. "I like the sound of that."
He leaned in, brushing a soft kiss against your forehead. "I do too. It’ll be a new adventure—one that we can write together."
You laughed gently, pressing your lips to his in a tender kiss. "I’m excited, Oda. For everything."
He held you tighter, his eyes full of love and promise. "Me too. Whatever comes, we’ll face it together."
