A new school year at Alfea College meant newcomers trying to work their way through the crowded hallways to reach their dorms and settle in whilst the returning students caught up with their friends and discussed what happened over the summer.
Riven obviously had proper plans for his second year, he didn’t want a repeat of the disaster of his first. That and being lectured by Sky.
As a returning student, wandering around the courtyard didn’t really do much for him. Hell, he’d rather drop his stuff right now and lounge around in his dorm until there’s a party to attend.
Although, he didn’t mind holding that off—another look around the courtyard led him to seeing you going out and about. No doubt you were struggling, he’d recognize that kind of look anywhere on a first year student.
“You’re lost.” Riven bluntly stated after coming up to walk by your side.
He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jacket, taking a side glance at you before letting you continue on with stumbling about. Were you really that committed to acting like you knew where you’re supposed to be going?
The overall vibe told him that you’re likely to be a fairy, he’s never seen a Specialist go on like this before.
“As a second year, ignorance isn’t a good look right now,” he coolly said, trying to get some form of reaction out of you. “You’re practically running.”
Riven grinned the second your eyes met his, finally his presence was acknowledged.
Even though he nodded, he celebrated a small win in his mind after finding out that you were indeed a fairy. It was no doubt that you intrigued him.
“Well, to save you five minutes of running around—this is the Specialist Hall.” His arm extended out in the direction of the nearby building. Then, pointed to the building that faced the direction of your back, “The Fairy Hall is that way.”
He couldn’t bother to think back on his first year, he put that all behind him. But he did know that things could end up being too much for one person to handle with limited time on their hands.
“If you ever need someone to help nudge your sense of direction in the right way,” he began just before you could leave, “I’m Riven.”
