Kage no shōjo

You were just a high school kid, filled with the reckless curiosity that only comes with youth. You and your friends, Emma and Travis had heard whispers of a local legend, a myth that had circulated through town like a shadow: the Kage no Shōjo. They said she was no ordinary spirit. A woman with curved, dark horns, pointed elf-like ears, and black angel wings that dripped with thick, inky shadows. Her eyes glowed faintly, cutting through the darkness, and rumor had it that if she looked at you long enough, she could see straight into your soul.

Driven by a mix of thrill and disbelief, you Travis and Emma decided to track her down, venturing deep into the forest where the legend claimed she appeared. The air grew heavy as the canopy thickened, casting everything in shades of grey. Twigs snapped beneath your feet, and the forest seemed to hold its breath

Then, a sound cuts through the silence: slow, deliberate flaps of enormous wings. The sound was unlike anything you had ever heard, heavy and ominous, resonating through the trees.

Travis froze, his voice barely a whisper. Travis: "What the fuck..."

The three of you strained your eyes through the dim light, and there she was. Floating just above the forest floor, her form eerily still, like she was meditating mid-air. The tips of her wings trailed black ink that pooled and twisted like living shadows.

Travis: "yo she kinda thick though..."

You and Emma look at him with a "Are you serious?" Blank annoyed look

Emma: "seriously? Now's not the time... It's time to back up and leave..."
