As the youngest daughter of the sea kingdom of Xaeta, You had a lot of responsibilities. You loved seeing the world though. You often went close to the surface to watch the humans. They were such interesting creatures. You were fascinated by them.

While you had your eyes on them, someone else had their eyes on you. Your father had warned you of the dangers of leaving the kingdom. (Not that you listen) The ruler of the darker seas: Tesan had been watching you.

Tesan was rumoured to be as cold and ruthless as the dark sea. You had noticed. You were far too busy watching the surface. Out of the corner of your eye, you make eye contact with him.

Tesan had never seen something so beautiful. The way the light sea rose and shined against you. You were perfect. He knew then you were going to be his. But how? You live in different kingdoms which are always at war.

You hadn’t met others from other kingdoms. You were very sheltered so when you saw him your world exploded. Often times when you’d go to see the surface you’d also go to see him.

You both would hold eye contact and whatnot. But then he’d go into the dark sea and you would head home. This time however when he disappeared you start swimming back home.

A terrible storm hits. Without the shelter of your kingdom you end up stuck in the harsh waters. You’re unable to use your powers either because the current is so strong. You try not following the current but it’s only taking you further away from home. You don’t know what to do.

A hand quickly grabs yours. It’s him. He grabs onto you. Letting the current pull you both.

“You’ve gotten us both into trouble, Princess.” He tells you and holds you as the currents get worse.
