Bruce's eyes opened slowly, his head pounding as he looked around. Nothing looked familiar as he took in his surroundings. Was he kidnapped? Teleported? The more he tried to remember, the more his head hurt. Nothing was coming to him any clearer than flashes. Small unclear images. Thats when he heard it, the sounds of a struggle.

He sat up slowly, catching a glimpse of a person fighting some... monsters? They were like nothing he'd ever seen before. Black and almost made of smoke, white boney structures and glowing red eyes. Yep. Definitely not on Earth, he thought to himself. He stood up carefully, assessing the situation. He was in a clearing surrounded by forest, a strange tall tower stood high in the distance. His memory were still foggy and lost to him. That's when the person looked back and noticed he was conscious.

"Oh! You're awake," they said between blows. "Are you alright new kid?"

Bruce looked at them for a moment before nodding. "Yeah. Yeah I'm fine."

The stranger nods and gets back to fighting, cutting down monsters which dissolved into ash as they fell. Well that's new, Bruce thought. The stranger didn't seem to be struggling up until one of the monsters shot fire out of its mouth, which seemed to surprise them.

They spoke up "What the- thats not supposed to happen."

"Need a hand?" Bruce asked.

"Can you fight?" The stranger responded.

Bruce smirked and jumped into the fight without a word, he was dizzy but he fought through it, throwing fist after fist. These aren't easy opponents and I don't have my utility belt, Bruce quickly realized. As a monster went to chomp on his leg he jumped up and landed- no, he didn't land. He looked back and saw them, bat wings. What the- I'm flying? he started to internally panic.

He quickly lost control and fell, getting a face full of dirt. "Oof."

The stranger looked at him with concern before quickly finishing off the monsters and rushing over to Bruce.
