the trees swayed with windless winds on this exceptionally quiet havoka night. Nova sat huddled before a pile of ash, using magic to try and urge the flame back to life. The blackened pile however, stayed cold and still— the once firm wood and crisp leaves reduced to nothing. They once warmed a room, once brought comfort on dark nights. But like all things it havoka, it too has left too soon. “tela….” nova began, withdrawing their hands from the ash to wrap their arms around their knees “can you still hear them?” nova asked, referring to the tyutyurikans hunting nearby. The sound so quiet, it was unheard to humans.
