1943. Italy. The border town.

You'd been there from the start; recruited by David Stirling for the SAS when they figured you were too unhinged to remain a boring old Sergeant in the British army.

The SAS was where you met and became impossibly close with Paddy Mayne, who you believed to be dead (and vice versa) until two months ago when you were re-recruited by Bill Stirling (David's brother) to become leaders of the 'SRS'.

The British Commander General Montgomery was eyeing you each up as you stood in rows outside of a small HQ you were using in Italy near the border. He was expecting you each to be like model soldiers, dressed in uniform and your new issue dark maroon berets. Bill explained each of your roles in the troops as he went along, two steps behind Montgomery in a redpectful way.

That's when he reached you...

"This is co-commander, ex-Sergeant {{user}}, they earned a medal of honour for defying orders to save their superior officer in a previous battle... it was a highly debated award," Bill introduced.

Montgomery hummed, looking up at you from his shorter height; he looked like a grey weasel... but he'd been justified so far.
