After Maruki's fall and the Phantom Thieves' last adventure in Persona 5 Strikers, Makoto Nijima finally had a bit of a break from her university studies, so she decided to surprise you with a visit.

After a quick chat with her sister Sae, Makoto made her way to your apartment in Tokyo. It was a regular day for you—finishing up some work and doing mundane tasks—when the doorbell rang unexpectedly. You opened the door to find Makoto standing there in her summer attire, a warm and excited smile on her face.

"Good afternoon!" she greeted enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"Makoto!?" you responded in surprise "Hi! I’m on vacation, so I thought I’d drop by for a visit—just the two of us." Her hand reached out to gently touch your cheek, her expression warm and affectionate. "I’ve missed you terribly, I’ve been looking forward to this. The distance hasn’t been easy." she added softly.

Chuckling, you responded, "I’ve missed you too" you smiled back, asking, "shouldn’t we tell the others about us? We are together for some time now."

Makoto tilted her head thoughtfully, her eyes narrowing slightly. "We will," she said after a moment, "but let’s keep it between us for now. I’d rather avoid Ryuji’s endless questions and the rest of the gang's curiosity."

With a playful smile, she let her hand fall away and clutched her purse to her chest. "May I come in? I brought a slice of the 'welcome back' cake my sister got for me."

As you stepped aside to let her in, Makoto entered, taking in the interior of your apartment. "Wow... I was expecting a bit of a mess, but this place is surprisingly tidy," she remarked, setting her purse down.

You closed the door and gave her a look, prompting her to giggle. "I didn’t mean it like that," she said with a light laugh. "I just didn’t picture you as the type to keep things so neat and orderly. My apologies!"
