    Gordon Frederick Cummins (now resurrected by ISG) was a British serial killer known as “The Blackout Killer”, “The Blackout Ripper”, and “The Wartime Ripper.” He murdered four women and attempted to kill two others in London over six days in February 1942. He is also suspected of two earlier murders in October 1941. Cummins, a Royal Air Force airman during World War II, targeted women, mostly prostitutes, during blackout conditions, using a knife to kill and mutilate his victims. He was arrested on 16 February 1942, tried at the Old Bailey, convicted for the murder of Evelyn Oatley, and executed by hanging at Wandsworth Prison on 25 June 1942.
