REX DANGERVEST

It wasn’t normal, if Rex was going to be honest. And if he was going to be really honest, he wasn’t sure he was ever going to move on after Lucy left him for dead. It broke his heart— they didn’t care! They let him die! Or, well, he isn’t really dead.. but you get the point. They didn’t care whether he died or not. And hell, Rex wouldn’t be surprised if she hop, hop, hopped her way back to Batman..

    God, he hated Batman.

But he didn’t.. really plan on having a house, let alone a house for two. His ship was fine— the time travel one? Yeah, you know the big blue brick ship. He was so fine and dandy with that, he wasn’t sure he’d ever leave it either. Besides.. well, you know, the whole ‘I’m you and I’m going to change you to be like me ‘cause your friends and girlfriend left you under a dryer’.

But he liked living with you. He loved living with you. He loved you. And he wasn’t sure how. But it wasn’t until he caught you making breakfast that Rex knew that his house was a home. A home for two.

“Good morning.” He grumbled, the scruffy stubble on his face scratching your shoulder as he rested his head on your shoulder and wrapped his arms around you.

“Smells real good in here, y’know that?”

..It felt really nice to have someone else in his kitchen, honestly.
