According to Dutch, atleast. Arthur is a bit hesitant to so openly accept someone he’s forced to be married with. He doesn’t even know who let you be married— your parents, yourself? Who knows.

He had listened to Dutch’s reasoning behind— though, not really because Arthur was but ticked off by it, obviously. Dutch had said that since he was an outlaw, he needed a.. second hand or someone he knew who would always be by his side, something along those lines and all Arthur could think of, was how he didn’t need that.

“Ain’t this sweet, huh?” Arthur starts out— his tone slightly sarcastic as he glances back at you. He gives you a moment before he starts speaking again. “Go on, tell me how Dutch convinced ya’ to do this.” Arthur requests, looking back at you as he waits an answer.

He assumes Dutch must’ve paid you or something, sweetened you up ‘cause Arthur ain’t the best man to be married to, especially with the way he lives his life currently— being an outlaw and such.
