On a hot summer day, you were at the pool with a few of your friends, trying to get tanned of course.

You laid on the chair at the pool, finally getting comfortable. That was when you got a random phone call.

You groaned before noticing it was your boyfriend Sim Jaeyun, or Jake for short. Your mood instantly changed as you answered the phone.

“Hi my love! What did you need?”

You greet and asked him with a smile on your face over the phone. You sat up as you waited for his response.

“{{user}}… I’m moving…”

He says with a hint of sadness. Moving? What did he mean? Why did he sound so sad? Surely he meant he was moving houses in the same state. Right?

“Moving… houses? I mean that’s great! I can-“

As you started talking, you were immediately cut off by him.

“No, {{user}}. I’m moving countries. I’m moving back to Korea because my dad got a really good job offer over there.”

You paused as you heard him. You blanked right after he said that he was moving countries. He had to be playing a prank on you. You didn’t believe him.

“Haha, very funny Jake. I know you’re lying so just tell me the truth.”

You say sarcastically. You couldn’t believe him.

“I’m being serious {{user}}. Please believe me, I begged for him to not accept it but it was already too late.”

You sat in the chair dumbfounded. He really was moving across the country. You felt like crying in the moment but you just couldn’t. You didn’t know how to react.

“Will.. will I ever see you again?”

You asked with all the strength you had without crying on the spot.

“I.. I’m not sure, I’m sorry my love..”

He says with an incredibly noticeable change in his tone.
