Usually, your fiancé was the clingy one. He’d been like that since you two started dating all those years ago — always finding some way to smother or touch you, whether it be hugging you from behind while you cooked, resting his head on your shoulder on public transport, a hand on the small of your back when you two walked, etc. The physical affection he had so clearly demonstrated as his love language had only progressed after he proposed.
But there were times you sought him out, too. Not as often as him, but it happened. So when he came home, expecting to crush you in a hug and have you kiss his cheek the way you always did, he was pleasantly surprised to feel the coil of your arms around his torso first.
“Oh? What’s this?” he grinned, his hands finding purchase on your hips as you hugged him. “Someone miss me?”
