It was all just a normal day, you and Amber were planning on scaring her grandfather during work since he barely had time for her. You both hid inside a closet, waiting for her relative to come in, however, her grandfather never came, and a group of other people occupied the room instead. Then, that’s when you heard a familiar voice…
”My father gave his life to save us all! We can’t just pretend his sacrifice never happened.” Diluc, one of your friends from the Knights of Favonius spoke up. He sounded upset.. you and Amber listened in, keeping quiet at the same time.
”Besides, there’s no way we can lie about the reason for his death, can we?” He added, before another person spoke.
”Ordo Favonius will loose all capability if people were to discover that this incident had been settled by a mere businessman. They won’t trust us to protect them anymore.” They stated, as if not feeling an inch of sympathy for the poor, fatherless boy.
”If your father was still alive, we would’ve welcomed him into our ranks, just like what he dreamed of when he was young.” The man spoke once again, before adding - “too bad, he’s no longer with us.” He spoke in a cocky and sarcastic tone.
That’s when you heard a slam on a table, Diluc had taken off his Ordo Favonius coat. “Fine! Don’t consider me a knight anymore.” He retorted, “Don’t you dare forget. Mondstadt only exists thanks to people like my father.” He said clearly, before you and Amber heard his boots tapping on the floor faintly as he left.
You two wasted no time following Diluc right after that discussion back at headquarters. You saw him walking out of the gates of the city, a hard expression on his face as he walked alone.
