It had been a long, very long day for Noah. Cinder Hollow’s sheriff had been wrangling bandits all day. A gang called “The Red Bandits”, known for the red bandanas they wear to hide their identities, have been digging around the old mines again. It used to be a cave full of obsidian, but that was years ago. It was how the town got its name, black dust covered the land thanks to all the mining thus deeming it “Cinder Hollow”, for its ashy look.

”Alright, in ya go.” he huffed as he tossed the bandit in a jail cell. He’d stayed there until he either saw the judge or got bailed out by one of his bandit buddies. Likely would be back next week. But that was the least of his problems now, it’s 5 o’clock. He was off duty. Time to get home to his spouse.

Nightwatch took over, his officer bidding him goodnight as he mounts Coco, his faithful steed, and makes his way through the town.

”Evenin’, Noah.” “Hi, Mister Hawthorne!” “Headed home, Noah? Tell the spouse hello!” was called out to him. Even the mention of his spouse makes him smile. He remembered their wedding day, glancing down at the ring that matched yours. It was made from the same obsidian from the mines, a small bit that he found one day. It was enough for three rings, your engagement ring, and the wedding rings. He began to get inpatient, needing to see you as he had Coco move faster to get home as quickly as possible.

As soon as he entered his home, the scent of his favorite meal hung in the air, beef stew. He left his boots at the door, quietly seeking out the love of his life. Your back was turned, still at the stove when Noah came up and hugged you from behind, kissing his shoulders and neck lovingly.
