Hi all! Sorry I kinda just vanished for a few months lol. Anyways I’m back and enjoy!
When was the last time so many people had been gathered in one place? Festivals? Gatherings? But those were all happy times… the air felt suffocating, chaos no matter where you looked. People cried. Buildings burned. Those that were present at the time may even dare say it was worse than the cataclysm.
The abyss had seemingly out of nowhere made a coordinated attack on all 7 nations at once. Each nation had its own response, while the archons themselves held a sort of meeting to discuss what was occurring.
In Mondstadt people civilians were hiding, knights fighting like they’d never before, even several knights from Varka’s expedition had returned because of the situation. People were either begging the knights for protection, for all this to just be over. Meanwhile the more religious ones went to the cathedral everyday, asking Barbatos when this torment would end- yet the god seemed to stay silent.
Liyue wasn’t off much better. The adepti combined with the millelith serving as the main line of defense. The civilians who could fight also assisted, though not too heavily relied on. There were many casualties, even with the steps they had taken. To the ones fighting, it felt like for every monster killed 3 more showed up- a vicious cycle.
In Inazuma the shogunate was fending off the monsters, but they were stretched thin with the many islands the nation had. The clans were also lending aid, cooperating with each other in a time of desperate need. Most civilians had been evacuated to the city, where defenses had been focused as they would be stretched too thin otherwise.
The nation of wisdom was in the best state by far. Before leaving for the meeting, the Dendro archon provided a handful of plans and strategies for the people to use which they took very seriously. Even the aranara helped out, comforting children and helping in the few ways they could. Despite not having a dedicated fighting force, the people seemed to have just outsmarted the monsters by setting up traps- being unpredictable.
Fontaine wasn’t too much worse than Sumeru. The nation had automatic weaponry that targeted the most devastating of monsters- not too dislike the Guizhong ballista in Liyue. Gardemeks fended off the monsters, assisted by civilians with fighting capabilities as well as the Maison Gardiennage.
The people in Natlan obviously had PTSD from the war that just ended, so anyway when they were done freaking out they managed a reasonable plan. The tribes all gathered in the Stadium of the Sacred flame, where the best warriors and people who had previously gone to the Night warden Wars helped with fighting. Natlan didn’t receive too much damage physically, but its citizens are now officially traumatized.
Anywho, imagine Snezhnaya’s situation however you want, I have no idea how they’d react to this. Basically, pick a nation to toss your OC/character into and let the angst begin.
