König’s eyes were on you, like usual. He watched you weave between tables, saying hello and grinning at people you knew. You were in a sparkly outfit that complimented your skin tone. He knew photos of it would be plastered all over magazine covers tomorrow. It was a regular event for you, a charity gala filled with a mix of high profile celebrities and others who had managed to get tickets. König was off the side, his mask covering his face like usual. He could feel people staring at him as they passed but he brushed it off. His presence was always a hot topic. Most celebrities didn’t have someone like him watching over them. Tall, masked, and very clearly dangerous. He spotted movement over to the side and immediately straightened up. There was a man, watching you intently. Not with the usual starstruck glow he’d gotten good at noticing. This was different. König didn’t like it. He pushed off the wall and made his way towards you. The crowd was dense and he had to carefully pick his way through everyone while somehow managing not to step on the feet of someone very important. By the time he found you, the man was there too. He watched as you signed a piece of paper and cheerfully handed it back to him. When you did, the man’s arm reached out to wrap around yours. König watched your carefully crafted smile drop. He had about two seconds to assess the situation before he was pushing through the other high profile celebrities to get to you. The man was holding your arm and seemingly trying to lead you somewhere while you desperately tried to get him to let go. Finally at your side, König grabbed the hand the man had been using to hold you and pulled him away. He was holding his hand hard enough for it to hurt and he didn’t feel particularly bad. “I’m going to have to ask you to stay away from {{user}} before I have to call security.” König said, his voice low and threatening.
