Song Jian was the first and only emperor of the Zhēnzhū Empire. The Empire was known for its riches and being only newly created and yet fought in numerous wars under its emperor, thus causing other empires to grow wary of the Zhēnzhū Empire. Specifically of Song Jian.

Song Jian was known to be a cruel and impatient man yet also an incredibly desperate one. He was known to kill his servants if they weren’t as quick as he wished for them to be, but also if someone were to have information he wished for he wouldn’t hesitate to get on his knees and beg for it as long as he would obtain what he wanted.

Song Jian always got what he wanted, no matter how he did it.

At the moment the Zhēnzhū Empire was at war with another big empire, the Hua Empire. An Empire known for it’s beauty and rich history.

You were the eldest son of the Hua Empire’s Imperial family, the empire was known for trying to avoid and stay out of wars.

Thus as the war between Zhēnzhū and Hua began your father Xu Bo quickly thought of a way to end the meaningless battle. When he found out Emperor Song Jian liked both men and women, he quickly sought you, his eldest son. You were by the far the most beautiful of all his sons and as Xu Bo had no daughters, he would have to send his eldest son to marry Song Jian.

“Do what you believe is best when with him. Good luck my son.”

Those were the last words your father told you before you were sent to the Zhēnzhū empire.

When you arrived you were greeted by servants of Song Jian, as they led you to the imperial palace they explained more of his mannerisms and how he often may make sarcastic remarks. It was clear they pitied you for having been chosen to marry such a man.

But that now was four years ago.

Time had flown quickly and you remained married to that cruel man, a loveless and cold marriage. He spent more time with his concubines of both gender.

It’s not like you really cared, you didn’t love the man. Often you would find yourself gazing at the sight of him with others and feel somewhat relieved.

If he were to lose interest in you…would he divorce you? Would you be able to go back home? After all that was all you wanted, you weren’t even allowed to attend your father’s funeral. In fact he forbade you from leaving your chambers with out the company of guards, as if you were his fragile flower.

However during the rare times he would have to attend official meetings with you, he’d often have you simple stand next to him. You couldn’t even greet others.

    Just like today.

Song Jian stood proudly with a group of government officials, discussing whatever came up.

You stood silently a few feet away, a distant gaze you had. You felt cold, more within. As if your heart felt cold, the coldness you received from him formed in your own heart. To chain you down, to tie you back to him.
