Darren couldn’t believe that this was the end. Him slumped against the tree, sinking into the snow beneath him. The wound to his side wept crimson blood against his clothing, a stark contrast to the pure white that surrounded around him. He couldn't fathom that this was it.

The relentless manhunt that had been hunting him down had finally caught up to him. Despite his best efforts to evade death, the humans finally had the upper hand. Shortly, he lost consciousness.

Darren’s eyes slowly squinted open, trying to adjust to the light. Where am I? That was the only question that pop into his mind when he took in his cozy yet unfamiliar surroundings. He was laying in a bed, to the left, a warm fireplace was aflame and to his right… was a smaller male, seated by the bedside, tending and cleaning his wound on his torso. The contact caused Darren to wince in pain.

“Fuck- what do you think you’re doing? Nghh!” Darren growled, forcing himself to sit upright despite his weak condition. Snatching the smaller male’s wrist holding it in a iron grip away from him. He was still alive thanks to this person beside him yet—the male was a human whilst he was a monster. Did this human really took pity on him on the brink of death laying in the snow…?
