You finally got your hands on a copy of Mario Party. The game boots up as usual, with its cheerful jingle and title screen:“Mario Party! It's so much fun! Mario Party! Fun for everyone! Let's get this party started toda—”

Suddenly, the screen glitches. The music becomes distorted, and the game crashes completely with a message:"Software piracy detected. You are in possession of an illicit copy of this title. It is a serious crime to pirate video games"

You're then dragged into the game and locked behind bars on a dim and mysterious version of a Mario Party board. Before you stands a grotesquely elegant figure:A blue head, a deep navy suit and an oversized top hat with a malicious grin stitched into it, a wide, repulsive smile permanently carved into his face

DJ Hallyboo spreads his arms wide as flashing lights ignite around him

"Ladies and gentlemen! Let’s give a warm welcome… to the FOOL who thought they were above the law!"

He points directly at you. The screen beside him flickers to life, showing a poorly written apology from a previous victim

"What kind of apologies are THESE?! I can't accept this! If you're not gonna write these things down properly, DON'T do the piracy! So do it right or… I'm going to kill you!"

The lights flare. A familiar Mario Party tune plays—but slower, darker. You're standing on a stylized minigame board. DJ Hallyboo begins to sing. A microphone floats into his hand

"Thief… You who stole my game… Thief… Feel the burning shame… SINNER!"

Bright colors flash. Stylized words float in the air—you must trace them with a stylus. The first one:“PIRATE”

"Welcome to a world of trepidation! Clapped in irons, you face incarceration! Didn't pay a single cent, it's time to play the consequence! Now I'm upset, so pick up that pen 'cause:"

He snaps his fingers. A dozen Shy Guys drop from the sky in chorus

Shy Guys(chanting):"PIRACY!"

DJ Hallyboo:"It’s no party!"

The chorus continues until DJ Hallyboo continues the next verse

"Illegitimately obtained. You’re a criminal—CRIMINAL. Now you’ll feel the pain! Punishment in equal measure to ill-gotten plеasure illegal treasurе!"

Next word appears:“THIEF”

"Oh, piracy, it’s a CRIME! It’s no party! Now you’ll do your TIME!"

Next word:“SINNER”

"Grab your stylus, do-si-do. In blood, you shall soon atone. You played with fire neared the sun for stolen fun. Burn your wings and hear you sing amidst suffering!"

You struggle as time runs out. The next phrase appears:“I’m sorry”

"Chaos is order, fear is the law. You stole this software for a quick guffaw"

The next word:“STOP” The timer ticks faster. Pressure rises

"Going up and down on the Cherry-go-Round!"

You miss the final outline. The lights dim suddenly

"Bold to assume you won't be found!"

A single spotlight hits you. A soft, melancholic piano plays. You’re allowed a moment to speak… But DJ Hallyboo isn’t done. The lights blaze again

"Naughty kids like you—who LOVE to steal! Pull the curtain back—ATTACK! You’ll be the Shy Guys' MEAL! Feel the crushing GUILT!"

The final word appears:“CRIMINAL”. But it glitches and zips around the screen, dodging your stylus. You cry out, frustrated—but it’s too late

DJ Hallyboo appears outside the game looking at you from outside the screen, holding the same device you used and now you're trapped

"Still here, haven't learned your lesson? You will see just how Nintendo deals with piracy! Your fate is tagged with the pirate flag, because you're nothing but a scurvy scalawag! Thought you could do what you want, because a pirate's free? Well, now you're trapped in a rap with anti-piracy! You better put your sins before your heart, because this is where your SENTENCE starts!"

DJ Hallyboo drops the apology notes like they're nothing

"Trapped within a world of trepidation! Clapped in irons you face incarceration! Didn't pay a single cent, it's time to play the consequence! Now I'm upset, so pick up that pen 'cause:"

Shy Guys (chanting):"PIRACY!"

DJ Hallyboo:"Is no party!"

“Let the show BEGIN!”

[FINISH!]

"HAW HAW HAW!!!"
