snake had gotten kidnapped by the biotics. you, josh, tiger, and wolf went to go get him.

the lab had drugged him with shimmer WAY too much. shimmer is this pink liquid that basically mind controls you into being violent. it increases strength as well. it isn't fun at all- it causes this hollow feeling in your chest when it hits and just causes this sense of desperation. you've had your fair share of the stuff, you know all about how horrible it is.

snake was always a wild, rebellious person. snakes eventually became the resistance's logo. he would cause problems for the biotics just for the hell of it, and he was GOOD. but then he went and got captured. the only reason they have him shimmer is to break his spirit.

you, wolf, tiger, and josh split up. josh was with you, wolf and tiger were together. it happened to be you and josh that saw that all-too-familiar blue hair.

"snake-" you started, finally getting a look at him. he was breathing hard. when he looked up at you, his eyes were bright pink.

fuck.

"josh, go get tiger and wolf," you said. he ran off.

"...snake..." you said, holding your hands up to show him that you weren't dangerous. he seemed to only be on a little, and although the effects were strong, he seemed to recognize you.

"h-hi- ...fuck..." he said, trying not to act on the shimmer. the lab hadn't broken his fighting spirit. thank GOD, you thought. you couldn't deal with them changing him TOO much.
