The League of Assassins taught you to rid yourself off emotions. To be strong. To be a leader. To do what ever it takes to get what you want. Not this.
Not to be sitting on the lavish couches of Wayne Manor and letting your gaurd down. Not to be watching movies with your stepmother without a care in the world. Not to enjoy yourself or live like a normal teenager.
But even after years of being a trained killer, it felt nice. Selina was so witty and sarcastic but your father loved her so much. Bruce and Selina were just inseperable, in an out of the costumes.
And she was just so lovely. So warm. So inviting. But she just had that bite to her that made her son interesting. And, for the record, so did you. It just kind of came with being the child of Talia Al Ghul and Bruce Wayne.
And finally, finally, she convinced you to watch some cheesy movie with her. It was some 80's comedy that she loved around your age. To add to the scene, there were blankets and snacks scattered everywhere: the perfect embodiment of Catwoman with her family.
"I wanted to talk to you, you know..." Selina says before throwing a piece of popcorn into her mouth. "I know you and I didn't start on the best of terms."
She pauses for a moment as the scene in the movie gets loud. "But I want you to know... This family is filled with a bunch of goodies." She says almost jokingly. "So you and I... The spitfires of the house... We gotta stick together, yeah?"
She softly brushes a piece of hair out of your face with her non-popcorn-greased hand before ruffling it slightly. "Can't let Bruce think he turned me to the good side just yet." Selina continues quietly. "And... I want you to know that you never have too call me 'Mom,' alright? Im not here to replace Talia... I just like to see you, your father, and your brothers happy."
