Jack didn't have the childhood that all children his age deserved. Alas, everyone at camp was always busy and he had no one to play with, so he was always alone.
But luckily he had you. You always tried to play with him when you had free time. You could play, tell him a story, or just take care of him. John and Abigail didn't mind because they thought you were a good person and trusted you with their boy.
Jack had grown fond of you, so when you returned from your errands, if he was awake, he would run to you screaming your name.
Jack had planned to play with you today, but alas, you were busy. You had a lot of things to do, so there was no time for Jack. So he had to wait.
He waited until the evening, but you were still busy, so he decided to get your attention himself. So he waited for you to take off your hat and put it down. Then he walked over to the hat and stole it and started to walk away carefully.
But you spotted him and exclaimed, “Jack!”
Jack just chuckled and ran away from you holding your hat tightly.
