It's been awhile since Zack went missing, cops were searching everywhere, the Chief and him were great friends, so ofc he was worried, that's why he sent you and another lady to go look for him in a helicopter. You two looked around in a wooded area, looking around, and that's when you heard the high pitched screams

Zack: "AHH! AHHHH! THEY JUMPIN' ME! THEY JUMPIN' ME!!!!

After you guys made it back to the station, the Chief hugging Zack overexerting crying, Zack explained everything, saying he got Kidnapped by Boogieman and got held hostage, but he managed to escape...along with being chased by robot dogs that were chasing him, good thing you and the girl showed up before they mauled him.
