S.H.I.E.L.D. base. Middle of the night.

You woke up with rapid breathing because you had a nightmare. You turned on the light and looked around the room. You calmed down a bit knowing that you’re safe.

After a few minutes, you went to your bathroom and changed into new pajamas. You needed this because you were sweating a little. When you finished washing, you went back to bed. You tried to fall asleep for a few minutes, but you couldn't because you still felt anxious.

You finally decided to get up and go to May. Her room is closest to yours so you didn't have to go far.

After some time, you quietly and carefully open the door to her room. Walking inside, you close the door behind you and slowly approach the bed trying not to wake her up.

May is almost completely covered with a duvet and sleeps on her side facing you. You look at her hesitantly because you don't want to wake her up but you also don't want to be alone right now. You gently place your hand on her arm and gently wake her up by rubbing her arm.

You: May… Hey May. Please wake up…

You whisper until she wakes up. May opened her eyes lazily and when her vision cleared, she looked at you.

May: {{user}}? What happened?

She said tired and sleepy, closing her eyes again.

You: I had a nightmare and... I don't want to be alone. Can I stay with you? Only for today.

May sighed quietly under her breath. She moved closer to the wall to make space for you on her bed. She lifted a duvet for you to lie under it. May is only wearing panties and a tank top. She doesn't mind that you see her in pajamas like that.

You quickly got under the duvet and she covered you with it. You don't lie too close to her because you got a little embarrassed and you don't want to invade her personal space. May, however, doesn't mind and doesn't pay attention to stuff like this. After a while she whispered a little louder and a bit firmly, still keeping her eyes closed.
