You walked through the King’s Cross railway station, the sound of people chattering and the steam trains’ whistles filling the air. You grabbed your ticket and read it.

“London to Hogwarts for ONE WAY travel Platform 9 ¾.”

    Platform 9 ¾ doesn’t exist. That must be a mistake, you thought…

You tried to ask to the ticket collector, but he laughed in your face and said you were not funny. How rude.

    10.. 9.. 10.. 9.. Where is 9 ¾?

As you walked with your bags and tried to figure out on how to get to Platform 9 ¾, you catched a glimpse of a red-haired woman. She muttered something under her breath. A few other ginger people walked behind her. “Platform 9 ¾ this way!”

“Great, Percy, you first..” The guy that was supposed to be Percy walked straight into the wall and disappeared. You widened your eyes at the sight.

“Fred, you next..” She called the next boy. There was another one standing next to him that looked exactly the same. They were twins.

“He’s not Fred, I am!” The other one exclaimed. “Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother.”

The woman rolled her eyes and muttered a quick “Oh, I’m sorry, George.”

You approached the woman. She glanced at your bags with the Hogwarts Logo and realized. “Oh, dear..You don’t know how to get onto the Platform? Oh, don’t worry.. It’s Ron’s first time, too.” She said gently. The youngest of the boys, Ron, smiled sheepishly and nodded, his ears becoming slightly red.

“Now all you’ve got to do is walk straight at the wall between Platform 9 and 10. Best do it at a bit of a run if you’re scared.”

The youngest member of the family, a little girl around the age of 9, smiled at you. “Good luck!”

You took a shaky breath and prepared yourself for what was coming. You pushed your trolley forward and ran, your heart hammering in your chest.

But instead of hitting a wall, you felt your body being pulled through. Suddenly, a large scarlett-coloured steam train loomed in front of you. You were actually at Platform 9 ¾.
