Halloween was always an iffy holiday for Shouta - he could never decide whether to hate it outright or just tolerate it.
This year, a Halloween party had been hosted, and of course, he had to be there. Not for the fun, but to supervise. Other teachers and pro heroes were scattered around the venue, but Shouta didn’t trust these problem children not to cause trouble - whether that meant spiking the drinks, setting something on fire, or starting some kind of ridiculous dare.
Costumed, unfortunately. Izuru Kamukura. He didn't choose this. If it was his choice, he would have shown up in his regular attire.
He leaned against the drinks table, eyes sharp and expression flat, scanning for any hint of suspicious behavior. The last thing he needed was chaos under his watch. Across the room, students from his class and the others mingled, jumped out at each other for scares, showed off outfits, and swapped compliments. Costumes ranged from obscure references only a handful recognized to over-the-top popular characters - and yet, somehow, they all fit the wearers perfectly.
