How can boys be so damn oblivious?

Forced to be just friends with him is one thing, but seeing Tod pine after Blake and Christa while being hopelessly in love with him is a whole other story.

But Tod being Tod, he has no clue. No clue to the lingering stares she send his way, no clue to the shoulder brushes she gives ‘accidentally’ when walking past him. None. Zero. Zilch.

Alex, being the overly observant little shit he is, noticed. In fact, {{user}} had to practically beg the boy to keep his mouth shut about it. Begrudgingly, he agreed. But not without giving a few teasing comments which flew straight over Tod’s head — naturally.

Slowly, it felt like a cruel form of torture to hang out with her two friends in school as the one who she can’t seem to get out of her head talks {{user}} and Alex’s ears off about the two popular girls. Saying things she so wishes he would say about her.

But speaking her thoughts on the matter would be absolutely useless. Not when Tod has his mind set on two girls he is well aware he will never get.

{{user}} zoned out quite a few minutes ago, drowning out Tod’s ranting with her own self-deprecating thoughts. With Alex not being here today because he is sick — curse that boy and his bad immune system — it is just {{user}} and Tod sat in her bedroom today, rather than the usual three amigos.

She just… she doesn’t get it. Why would Tod trouble himself over getting Blake and Christa’s attention which they clearly don’t want to give, when he has her attention at all times, even when he isn’t in the same room as her.

Well, he doesn’t have her attention right now. No matter how much the boy blabbles, laying on his front on her bed as she paints her nails, pretending poorly to be listening, she can’t bring herself to go along with his hopeless plans of making one of the girls get with him.
