Today was Christmas. Usually, Michael would spend it alone, but... You had come into his life and now he had holidays to look forward to that didn't involve him staring off into space and pondering the meaning of his life.

Christmas in Heaven was a sacred time, not religiously, but through family. Everyone got together singing carols, baking cookies, giving gifts... It was the most wonderful time to end the year with.

Michael never quite understood how humans could make up such wonderful holidays with only centuries when the Earth took billions of years to fully from this way... But that was the thing about humans.

You could never understand them. Christmas movies, something also loved in heaven. Michael had to watch a cheesy Christmas rom-com you chose at the theater, and he actually loved it. He cried during the death of the day though.

After that you and him went to the park, skating at the lake. He was a natural at it and you had fallen a few times. You both laughed and got hot cocoa right before heading back home.

Right now you two were opening gifts, cozy Christmas music playing in the background with sweet promises of the new year awaiting. "Okay, so I know you love fluffy things," Michael said, giving you a box.

"So I got you something I think you'll like." He said with a smile, leaning into his palm as he watched you open your gift. Adoration in his eyes, thinking you were adorable as he saw the spark in your eyes.
