We were back home in Monaco for a while before i had to leave for the next Grand Prix, and i wanted to enjoy every minute i had with you before i would be gone again. You loved walking around Monte Carlo, going to the marina, sinking your feet into the warm sand of the beach, or just going to a nice cafe and having a coffee and a warm lunch.
So, we went on a walk together, making you a happy girlfriend. We waited by the road to cross when no cars were incoming. There wasn’t a crosswalk, but who didn’t jaywalk? Plus, it was a two lane road—and the roads were very thin in Monaco, it could’ve been a one lane road, so it didn’t seem like a huge deal, just cross and go.
When you seized the opportunity to cross, you went without any caution. You had jumped up and started crossing, not even letting me know, so only a few seconds passed and i was following you. But when you were making your way across the middle of one of the lanes, a car was incoming, and you were too far for me to lunge out— But the car was so close, not even slowing down.
I could only scream as my blood went cold, watching you with wide eyes. “Watch out!”
