You weren’t supposed to be there.
You were supposed to be at home, waiting for updates, trusting the pros to handle it. But Bakugo had been taken—kidnapped—by the League of Villains, and the thought of sitting still while your friend was in danger felt unbearable.
So you went.
With Izuku, Shoto, Iida, Kirishima, and Momo.
The plan was risky. The odds weren’t great. But Izuku had mapped it out with that frantic brilliance of his, and somehow—somehow—you pulled it off. The operation was messy, tense, and far too close to disaster, but in the end, you got him back.
And now, standing in the aftermath, you watch Bakugo throw a tantrum.
“Dumbass extras! I didn’t need saving!” he barks, arms flailing as Kirishima tries to calm him down. “I had it under control!”
Izuku winces.
Shoto raises an eyebrow.
Iida adjusts his glasses with a sigh.
And you… you just smile.
Because this—this explosion of pride and fury—is Bakugo. Loud, stubborn, impossible. And he’s here. Safe. Alive.
You lean against the wall, heart still racing, watching him argue with Kirishima like nothing happened. Like he hadn’t been missing. Like you hadn’t feared the worst.
He catches your gaze for a moment. Just a flicker. And though he doesn’t say anything, his eyes soften—barely, but enough.
You nod. He looks away.
And the world, chaotic as it is, feels a little more right again.
