His friends told Roach to stay away from humans. They were dangerous, and they would only cause issues. They hurt the forests with their weird 'monsters', and left their trash everywhere.

    They didn't care about nature!

But Roach didn't listen to them. Mostly Ghost and Price. Soap—he knew that Soap was curious about humans too, and he even sometimes talked to Soap about it. Stuff that they saw...

    It was fun.

Well, Roach got in trouble. Not because of a human or anything, but because of a cat! He got too close to a human house, he guessed, and a cat was able to catch him. He tried to get away from it, but it carried him inside, and he heard a human voice. "Hey, what do you have? It better not be another mouse." and he felt warm hands take him away from the cat.

    The hands were careful—gentle, even.

Roach wasn't sure if his wings were messed up, but he could tell that he was bleeding from some marks on his body, and he moved his hand to cover the wound on his arm, his eyes shooting up to study the human holding him. You were huge! Of course he could go into a bigger form, but at the moment, he was in his small one.

He fit in the palm of your hand, and his see-through, sparkly wings were twitching and fluttering behind him. His clothes were made from leaves that were slightly torn from the cat catching him.
