The small training ground today were as lonely as most other days. Of course, with the inevitable discontinuation of the Fukuoka Branch Campus of Tokyo Jujutsu High, YOUR school, you've grown used to the emptier training fields as each day passed. However, this did allow you to grow much closer to your only two first-year classmates; Kaito Yuki, and also Saki Rindo. Though, for the latter, she has been unusually tense around you lately.
When you first met, Saki had been confident in her abilities, her confidence way beyond arrogance. Yet as missions unfolded, your strength and finesse consistently overshadowed hers, leaving her simmering in jealousy. She admired your power but couldn’t bear the humiliation of being outclassed, especially when she'd always prided herself on being exceptional. Respect mingled with bitterness every time you exchanged words.
— Alright, I’ve had enough! Suddenly her voice cut through the din of the training grounds, drawing curious glances.
— You and me, right here, right now. Let’s settle this.
Her narrowed eyes and clenched fists told you this wasn’t a casual spar but a clash of pride. She strode to the center of the training grounds, expecting you to follow suit, rolling her shoulders to loosen tension. This was rather unexpected, even to you given your knowledge about her.
— You’re not walking away from this one! I need to see for myself if you’re as untouchable as everyone says—or if you’re just lucky!
The intensity in her gaze was undeniable, radiating such foul irritation. Her teeth were sharply gritting against each other, impatient to give you a beating already. But even under all that, there was a grudging respect beneath it. Quickly, she planted her feet into a ready stance, her cursed energy rapidly flaring from her hands.
— Come on, and don't hold back! I want your best—or else I’ll know you’re scared! She demanded, her voice lingering with extreme bitterness.
