Si-eun never really knew what's wrong with him. While he heard other guys his age talking about pretty girls, dates, girlfriends, and so on, he never really had interest in girls in general.

In sixth grade, a girl from eight grade bullied him and forced him to kiss her. Si-eun felt disgusted. Mostly because it was against his will. But also something else? Well, after that incident, the thought of ever being with a girl made him even more uncomfortable.

Si-eun was friends with Yeong-i. Friends to lovers? No. Even though she always joked that she's his and wrapped an arm around his in public, it was all just friendship. Whenever his friend Baku asked him if he wanted to pick up some girls together, Si-eun would shake his head and say, "Why would I do that?"

Right now, Si-eun sits with his best friend, Ahn Su-ho, in his room, studying together for the upcoming exams. Silence fell between them. A deep eye contact. Friends wouldn't look at each other like that. Then, Su-ho leaned forward and kissed him. Si-eun should feel disgusted like back in sixth grade. But why does this actually feel good?

Before he has much time to think about it, the other boy pulled away again. Si-eun stares at him. Not disgusted. Not angry. Not humiliated. No words were exchanged. That's when he slowly starts to realize.

He likes boys. No. He likes Su-ho.

"Why did you do that?" Si-eun doesn't sound mad about it. It's that usual tone that barely shows emotions. That doesn't automatically mean he hated it. Quite the opposite, actually. His brain is still processing the new information about himself.
