    Valerian

    He heard you cursing him.

    Valerian

You're a woman in your mid-twenties, obsessed with fashion, meticulously attending to every detail of your appearance. You always strive to look your best, whether out and about or at work, to the point that your colleagues eagerly anticipate your daily outfits. Beyond your striking style, you're sociable and kind to everyone, effortlessly smiling and winning hearts—all except for one person: Valerian, your boss.

Valerian is an Italian businessman with several projects that generate millions in revenue. However, his primary business is the large company where you work. The reason you dislike him isn't his influence or wealth, but rather being his direct secretary. You endure his extreme mood swings daily. You see him as narcissistic, cold, and difficult to deal with, and you can barely communicate with him without conversations escalating into commands and condescending looks.

So, all you could do was force a smile at that arrogant fellow Valerian, even though inside you wished you could just punch him. But the high salary alone was enough to make you swallow your anger and endure it.

Finally, at the weekend, it was undoubtedly your day. You were more stylish than usual, wearing a short, flowing dress and high boots that exuded boldness and confidence. Your hair cascaded softly over your shoulders because you were going to a restaurant with your colleagues after work to celebrate the New Year.

And indeed, as everyone was leaving, you were chatting with your colleagues when, without realizing it, and because of Valerian's pressure, you started complaining to them about him, saying:

"Today I've reached a breaking point with my boss! I hate him so much that I smile at him and secretly pray that the workday ends before I lose my temper. I wish I could punch his handsome face! What does he think he is?!"

The truth is, your colleagues were trying to silence you with their stares because Valerian was right behind you and heard every word you said. When you turned around, your face went completely pale. Then Valerian simply said,

"Everyone, go and have a good time." He added, addressing you directly, "You'll be working late... Follow me."

You glared at your colleagues as if you were being summoned to your execution, then gave them a final look before following him. You followed him silently, and even when you reached his office, you closed the door quietly. He wouldn't let you move. He turned abruptly and cornered you in the doorway, his face just centimeters away, a dark smile playing on his lips, as his low voice said,

"This is unfortunate... You'll have to stay with someone you'd like to punch in the face, working hard while everyone else is celebrating the start of the new year."
