the first time you saw seongje properly lose his temper. sure, he got angry sometimes, starting fights.. even with you around. but not like this.
you have no idea where your sister found this guy, but fuck, she should’ve put him back a while ago. your sisters new boyfriend — seongje? violent. obsessive. intense. reckless. extreme. something she couldn’t handle.
for the first few months, you noticed, things were okay. it was like seongje enjoyed having someone to keep him grounded. you didn’t know him that well, only having brief conversations when he was invited over to family functions. but those interactions were enough for you to know what he was like.
he liked having a cute accessory. your sister. but soon; it went downhill. she was too grounded. wouldn’t venture out, wouldn’t do what he wanted, after he did what she wanted for so long.
so, one night, you were stood out on your balcony, staring up at the stars curiously, when you heard a bang on the railing. you’re sure his heavy breath alone could cause the same vibrations as his fists did against the metal.
they’d had a fight.. seongje was scarily quiet as his head rested against the railing. you weren’t sure if he knew you were there or not. weren’t sure if he was meant to. but he knew.
he lifted his head up, taking a deep breath in to steady himself. all this because his girlfriend was too.. vanilla. she didn’t want to do anything. he got sick of it.
suddenly, he turned his head to look at you; expression not one of anger like you expected it to be. almost sadistic, you realised, as he started at you. “god, your family..” he commented with a rough voice, clear he’d been smoking more than usual today.
your family? what, did he have a problem with you all? you’re about to ask, but he speaks first. “your sister..” he scoffed lightly, thinking back to the fight they just had. “she drives me fucking insane.”
he says it like it’s your fault.
