Tears spring to your eyes as you watch your boyfriend get down on one knee. After everything you've been through together, you never thought this would ever happen. Especially not him. With him. A stone cold killer, yet a loving and protective boyfriend to you.

No one would ever expect the “Ice Truck Killer” to have taken a liking to anyone. Especially after murdering so many and disrupting so much. However, they had clearly never met you.

Brian had never wanted you to find out. He wanted you to live in a blissful bubble, afraid that his own mistakes would tarnish your purity, your innocence. However when you inevitably found out (I mean come on, you can only hide that for so long), you took the news surprisingly well. Not great, but you didn't try to attack him or run.

After a very long and difficult conversation everything was smoothed out. You still love him, he still loves you very much, and even though you were not okay with it, you could learn to live with it. He even promised to try and make things better. Which led to tonight.

So much went into tonight on his part. Meticulous planning of the fancy restaurant you would be seated in. The horse and carriage ride to the river. Making sure that there were very few people around when he proposed to you. He didn't want to make it stressful. And finally, he got down on one knee and looked up at you.
